Dept. of Health to Hold Webinars on Upcoming IOC Drills  

At HCA’s suggestion, the state Department of Health (DOH) will hold two webinars on January 29 to educate home care, hospice and other providers about a series of upcoming Interoperable Communications (IOC) drills.

These drills are voluntary (see our definition of IOCs on the glossary page of HCA’s Home Care Prepare site) but the drills can be used to fulfill federal and/or state requirements. In conjunction with a federal exercise – known as a Coalition Surge Test (CST) – the IOC drill will occur on a rolling basis in various regions of the state outside of New York City between February and April.

There is no registration for either of the hour-long webinars on January 29 which will provide repeat information. The webinars can be joined at the links below:

IOC drills will be held during the following two-week windows:

  • Capital District – February 3 to 14
  • Lower Hudson Valley – February 24 to March 6
  • Central New York – March 16 to 27
  • Long Island – March 16 to 27
  • Western New York – March 30 to April 9
